well got my audio report in the mail and guess what, it's official, my right ear is in the severe range and my left ear is stable for now ;)

numbers for the pressure, volume whatnot is different from '08-'10

happy December and stay tuned for test number 2 with the other audi at CMMC :)

Ok. Are you happy or unhappy about this?

Since I thought "woot" is an exclamation of joy...

Ah no, hope you don't run out of power on your really cool purple aids.

It really sucks to find out that your cochleae are deciding to stop working.
I avoided having a hearing test for a year and a half because I was scared that I had lost more hearing. Of course, when I had the hearing tests it turned out that I had lost 15-25 dB depending on the frequency.

It really sucks to find out that you can't hear as well as ou used to; however, it can be comforting to have evidence that one's trouble listening is because of a real, quantafible decrease in hearing.

Right now I'm at the max of my hearing aids. It seems like your loss is much more gradual so hopefully you can keep your kick ass hearing aids.

Have you got SPs or UPs Naidas? The pic looks like an SP.

A lot of people have said that the UPs sound so much better then the SPs when they've gone from SP to UP Naidas.

I was supposed to have the UPs but the state agency that bought my hearing aids made a mistake. I also have the very lowest technology level which (naida III dAz, yeah there is a naida I but that is only available in a few countries) might be part of my problem. However, I have problems with distortion, dead regions and recruitment. By the time I an detect a sound it is almost too loud.

For me, anything higher than 1,500 to 2,000 Hz just sounds like buzzing even at 120+ dB.

Seems to be a big problem when your HAs are funded thru various agency's that they order the wrong ones. Read about it a lot.
