Woman busted for having false license plates on vehicle

Thats cuz she can't produce RFID signals from license plate. That is how cop catch her. Also RFID built in license plate helps cop catch speeder and other violators like no insurance, RFID will alert cop if drivers is driving without insurance in some states. I just found out!

I can't imagine why it didn't work--it looked so real!

When car without valid RFID built in license plate, it won't ring on cop's laptop at all, that raised red flag for cop, and cop had to respond that one as suspect on possible violation, since no sound from laptop, cop had to look at license plate, BAM it don't look like real one. Easy for cop to spot.

It really don't take much for cop to detect, I am not sure if all states have their license plate RFID embedded. Hence, its why its illegal to cover the license plate with any kind of protective materials.

RFID is a very short-range frequency. I don't see how it would work. where are you getting this info?

and no.... that's not how a cop caught her... it's uh.... a cardboard license plate.... hand-drawn.... just take one look at it and yea.... it's fake.

She should've stuck with FARM USE in thick, black marker on a torn piece of brown cardboard.

Cop, they said its how they catch those without insurance, and accurate target the actual speeders. Like bunch of cars pass by so fast, cops need not know which once since lice se plate id showed up on laptop.
And other incident which friend of mine had plate covered with plastic, messed up cop's computer, fine almost 200 dollars. It happened last werk. Maybe not RFID, something they dont want to tell us, but yes license plate is embedded. I am not sure if every 50 states have that technology but I know for sure nys has it.

no.. trust me.... it's not RFID. you definitely misunderstood it.

it's probably a plate reader that police was using

Whatever... I just happen to be there and learn something at that time. It was about three weeks ago I think.

Cop couldn't press charge on buddy of mine for doing 122 on 65MPH zone, its because he covered his license plate with protective sheet which messed up cop computer registering reference to charges that cop would press on. My buddy end up got ticket for obstruct license plate of any types. My buddy just bite that loss (means accepted and pleaded guilty) because doing 122 on 65 means automatically arrest, and charge as felony. He was damn lucky this time.

BTW, yeah I told him slow F... down, he won't. whadda me do? :dunno:

That is not much of a friend to be driving that fast with you in the car. He risk getting both of you killed.

uh... that makes no sense at all.... just simply type in plate number in computer or radio it to dispatch...

no wonder this story is very iffy because you are hearing it secondhand.... unreliable and prone to changes in story.

No, the speed and license plate needs to be automatically register as reference to each other making cop's case stronger in court. When cop said it was that driver that was doing x speed on y zone. Driver could claim that it is impossible for his car doing that fast. This is part why cop decided let him go after asked him if he would bring up in court and got yes from him.

that can be a case if cop didn't use his radar/laser gun to verify his speed for sure. so he was probably pacing him instead or using visual estimate.

RFID? no definitely not. it doesn't exist.

it will only obscure the plate from a plate reader but a cop can simply read it with his own eyes and type it in.

Whats point of discussion about this anyway?

Good thing, I was driving behind him, he just dart out and I was doing 70, and saw cop pulled him off already and was having conversation already so I could believe he had gone 122.

you're the one who brought this up -
