(Sorry if this isn't the place to post this..)

I'm headed back to work, in less than an hour, into a very "hearing demanding" role that is set for me over the next couple months in my job. It was enough of a struggle to start with but will be even more of a challenge now since my hearing levels are diminished quite a bit with my most recent surgery, so I can use all the good luck and positive thoughts I can get right now. Thanks in advance!

Good luck. Maybe you can ask for some form of accommodation.
 
Thanks everyone, It went better than I thought it would for today at least!! I still had many uncomfortable situations when I couldn't hear what I needed to, but luckily it wasn't anything major. I didn't have any unpleasant customers at all today either. :D
 
Good luck, but also make a little effort to bridge any communication gaps. I would never let fate determine my ability to hear at work.

Yeah, I try to bridge the gaps every chance I get. Sometimes people understand and other times they just want to be mad about whatever they can be mad about. At least I try, that's all that really matters. My bosses are being awesome about everything so at least I know they have my back. :D
