Will we, as deaf patrons be threatened by a robot receptionist?

This is not a joke. Carnegie Mellon University engineers have come up with a robot receptionist that is supposed to do everything that a real live receptionist have been doing.

If this is the case, we should demand that these engineers modify that robot to be able to write notes back and forth or to use robo-ASL to communicate with us.

Agree with you Sabrina... i prefer to
talk with live representatives thru relay
much better than any robots on these
phones.
 
How does this relate to deaf people? This applies to everyone.
 
two things to say

1) Good idea to use the robot representatives

2) Deaf people ofc cant talk to robot representatives because of tty or computer will not take each words...
