Wife accidentally records husband raping girl

A wife accidentally recorded her husband raping a teenage girl after she left a dictaphone in a dressing gown pocket.

Elaine Dadd, from East Cleveland in England's north, said she was physically sick after listening to the recording and went straight to police to report what had happened, the Daily Mail reports.

Her husband Steven, a serial sex attacker, has been jailed for five years and will not be released until he is considered not dangerous.

Mrs Dadd said she was preparing to return to work when she noticed the device had been activated. She listened to it and heard the attack and the girl's pleas for Dadd to stop.

Dadd was jailed for four years in 1979 for raping a 16-year-old girl. He was locked up in 1983 for another sex offence and was jailed for seven years in 1990 for raping an eight-year-old.

He was jailed for 14 years in 1996 after he drove a prostitute to a deserted area and attacked her.

Dadd pleaded guilty in the most recent attack.

I hope this time he'll stay in prison until he dies.

What confuses me...

Not sure how he got married with a criminal history like that.

I wondered that too. And if they were married before his first conviction, why she stayed with him.

It's amazing they call incarceration "rehab" It is quite certain this fellow sure did not get rehabbed enough over the extensive course of his incarceration. What I wander is how many attacks does it take for the govt to say enough is enough. It's really sad all these young girls have been traumatized when it all could have been avoided if he was never let out of prison.

I'm confused about the time line.

Me too but I am guessing they are saying that was the sentence and he was paroled at some point......

Still......What kind of system gives freedom to a person with at least 3 rape convictions

If this were America, you can bet your ass this sick mofo would never have been let out (alive) after the second offense.

Some women are sick enough to marry criminals but at least she turned him in. There are some women who will actually keep quiet about something like that.

Accidentally records?? What a bunch of crock... and for her to sit and listen to the whole tape, or until the attack takes place. I am sure she already had her suspicions. which lead her to start the recording and listening to the tape.

So true!...Watched American Justice on the Lifetime channel, titled "Karla"....she suspected her boyfriend was responsible for rapes that had been going on, his mugshot looked just like him, but the police had no proof...she Loved the guy so much, she wanted to marry him, even tho' he told her he was "hurt" she was not a virgin...and her sister was...and that he "wanted" her sister!..She helped drug her sister so he could rape her, but gave her too much of a drug (that was meant for horses, she worked in a Veteranian's office)...and the sister died....evetually, she helped him kidnap, rape and murder several other women.....because she said "she loved him."....

This was a true story..both are still incarnated in prison. Guess it goes to show "Love knows no bounds."...Was a good movie....

Actually Karla is now free and she has been out of jail since 2005. I don't think she ever should have been freed.

As for the wife, it could be she left the it on by mistake. I don't know the whole story except to wonder why she married the hubby in the first place.

You are referring to Karla Homolka. She lived here in St. Catharines with her husband, Paul Bernardo. Karla is no longer incarnated. She was charged with manslaughter instead of murder.

She should had been charged with murder and sentenced to life in prison like her husband was. They were stupid enough to make a deal with Karla Homolka even though they had enough evidence to put both away for life.

Big mistake.

It's one of the most famous cases in the history of Canada, believe it or not.

Karla Homolka isn't a victim. Period. She was a manipulative woman and she was just as guilty and insane as her husband is.

Weren't they dubbed as the Ken and Barbie killers?
