No need to defend him. He hasn't been attacked. I was simply curious about the answer as it all related to the benefits of hearing, and the question was regarding the benefits of being deaf. :shrug: If your interpretation is correct, and he can't bear the thought of living without hearing, then still the question asked in the OP hasn't been answered.
