Ihave noticed increasing difficulty hearing and understanding over the last 5 years. This became a huge problem at work, especially with people who are "low-talkers" or whisperers. I can lip read pretty well, but I usually misinterpret some of the conversation.
I decided to get a hearing test when one day, my amazing, kind, respectful boyfriend and I were coming home and I get REALLY angry with something I though he had said. I began to yell and demand an answer for why he would speak to me in such a manner.
I thought he called me a whore.
What he said was, "please shut the door."
HA's have changed my life and my boyfriend is even more wonderful... now that I can actually hear him.
