why do avt parents blame the fact they have other kids?

hi

why do some blame the fact there are other kids in the family for years of avt just for the kid to turn round and learn sign at 18?

we have more than one kid we would have have to give up life as we no it to learn sign and move house and change friends stop looking after other kids

there is no place in the world for oral deaf the hearing world see us as disabled and deaf world see us as hearing( a disabitiy in its self)

my question is why do peope use this excuse?

And the thing is.............with AVT you have to become a helicopter parent, focused exclusively on the kid.....With AVT/oral you have to be able to move around to get the good services/therapists and schools.

no link it was a face to face talk i was having with a parent of a ci kid whos speech was great
