I think it's just that deaf people have other interests than being deaf all the time. I've popped into ASL chat a couple of times. No one was there. I have ran into a few deaf people on other forums/games though. The Internet itself is basically a deaf community (except for video). No one can hear anyone online. They just read all day and imagine what the other person sounds like. It's not that there isn't enough interests or that people don't want it. It's more about people don't want to push it b/c they are content. You have email, blogs, an an online community, forums for ANYTHING imaginable as far as communications goes (that's what the Internet was made for) it satifies a lot of deaf people (not saying that it couldn't be made better but besides video and audio, I would say that the Internet is deaf friendly). That's just my opinion. I'm still hearing so I could be totally off on the whole thing.
