Who should pay to have dam and embankment fixed?

With the company already spending $153,000 in repairs I do not see why it is such a big deal for others, such as the homeowners, who also gain income off the lake to foot the bill....
 
Anyone getting electricity from Consumers Energy will be paying for the repairs in their electric bills . The town may just have to increase taxes to pay for the repairs

True, however it could be a short cost instead an extended tax if each homeowner paid $76 the money would be raised and it would be done .. ...

If their electric bills went up they could end staying that way for a long time
 
who owns it ?
if you own your house, but rent out the rooms and profit from it, who should fix anything that breaks from everyday wear and tear in the house, though?

However, if something is damaged on purpose or negligence is a different story.
