Who is going to be left out?

I had a hearing girlfriend who didn't want to teach her cat ASL. I felt left out because she was talking to her cat and I wasn't able to use ASL with her cat.

I worry about what it would be like to date someone who is deaf? How will it work to teach a cat ASL? If I was to use ASL with deaf date, then the cat would be left out because cat won't understand what either one of us are saying.

I hope cat will understand.
 
Maybe cat will laugh at me being left out while talking to hearing person and being completely ignorant about ASL.

uhh the cat is more concerned in cat speak than silly gibberish things human say/sign in their language.
 
Cats are concerned with food, sleep, comfort, and being with their favorite person...in no particular order...theirs is a non verbal language, which only their favorite person, and other animals understand.....true of all domestic pets...

and need their heat body in order to keep themselve warm. That is all it does matter to them.
