I've been to rodeos.

Rodeo clown jokes are usually pretty corny.
 
My uncle used to tour around Michigan and find any bull he could to ride. The whole family would pack up to go see him all the time. He had to quit because he ended up almost dying. More metal in his head than bone at this point (exaggerating in case you take that too seriously.)
 
Been to bull riding rodeos....and barrel racing too...not my cup of tea tho'...I do watch bull riding on TV sometimes.
 
Well, I think the primary role of the clowns is to make the event safer for the cowboys on these animals.....not what they say...
 
I used to be a bull rider for the Florida Cowboys Association. My uncle got me into riding bulls. He was active in the PRCA ever since he was stationed in Houston. He has been a saddle bronc, barebronc, bullrider, and rodeo clown.





 
Living in AZ, yep been to several of them. They are so much fun!!
 
Saw one last year. The clown was drunk and almost hurt some of the kids in the audience. Other people rodeo people ran out and saved the kids. Then the highlight was supposed to be a 10 year old "pro" rider on a "small" bull. Well he got his arm stuck and was dragged and bucked all over for 10 or 15 seconds. He ended up being taken away by a medical team. The entire thing was sickening.

It was at a county fair and I wondered what kind of outfit it was. I'm still upset about it ever time i think about it. I'm sure they are not all that way.
