Greetings everyone! My name is Rusty Rush and I'm legally deaf but capable of hearing decently with hearing aids and amplified headphone. I use ASL to communicate but find myself using english a lot due to force of habit writing in english and feels awkward signing straight up ASL.
I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and eventually found my way in Hampton, VA eight years ago as my ex girlfriend was carrying my son who also deaf.
I joined this forum to learn/help from/with the deaf community. We seriously lack deaf education and community for children in Hampton roads. Hope I'll find some answer/solution here.
