I went to Chicago Auto Show yesterday. They were giving out $5 gift cards to Starbucks to anyone who test drove a Mazda. I test drove a CX 9 model.

I've also traded a bicycle or 2 for gift cards.

So what about you? What did you do to earn your last gift card?
 
Being a great mom. :giggle: My daughter gave me a gift card for my birthday.

I also got two gifts cards at our offie party, not by winning them, but that two of my co-workers apparently did not want their's and gave them to me. I thought that was very kind of them.
 
I got a Target gift card $10 after Christmas which reminds me to put it to good use lol
 
I pay everything with one card with a rewards program. Then pay it all at the end of each month. Then use the rewards points for a restaurant gift card.

I usually earn one every month.
 
I won a $25 gas card through Verizon rewards program. I just had to post a drawing for a sweepstakes. I figured why the hell not because there were no other better options and I had thousands of reward points.
 
Recently I've had quite a few... used some but others I have yet to use lol. Everything from Amazon to Target.

most were Christmas gifts or from doing a survey or two (one from my insurance company lol). One was a gift for the work & help I've given a friend over the last 9 years for his online riddle & forum (well, 'his'- his ex wife, my friend, had a huge hand in it too..)
 
I have given gift cards to neighbors (usually mailed them) for work they've done for me.

One to my snowblower angel (he figured out it was I who sent it). I sent him a gift card to the local gas station/convenience store so he could either buy gas for the snowblower or food for his belly.

The other is my neighbor who worked on my bathroom faucet and eventually replaced it (landlord paid for the faucet and may have added some labor $ to the money). This neighbor has come over to help me on other minor problems so I sent him (and his wife) a gift card to a restaurant.
 
I got 8quid to spend on Boots chemists..them the reward points I get....There site called Martins money page I trawl through that every so often see what going on sometimes there international rewards and many of the freebies ,I don't think they care where you live
 
I buy Amazon gift card for myself. Its better than using a credit card and you cant get hacked. Just get an Amazon card at CVS and pay cash.
 
I think Derek is asking if/when we've gotten a gift card for doing something rather than the gift card being a gift from someone you know.

Yes, I've had a lot of gift cards simply given to me. I didn't earn them.

While at this, I often buy raffle tickets at Starbucks when I go to Deaf events. I've been lucky and won few times.

Earned 5 bucks to starbucks driving with Derek yesterday! He drove Cx9 and I drove the cx5 think itll be my next car!
 
I got a $100 gift card from Verizon when I signed up for their internet service . I could use the card anywhere I wanted to .
 
A co-worker back in FL needed cash fast, so I agreed to buy a $100 Red Lobster gift card from him. Still have it to this day! :D
 
I got $75 Target gift certificate from my stepfather's brother and his wife last Christmas.
