what will ivies say when you ask for definition of hearing?

Do ivies have hearing? I've never seen one. What are they? And why would being one change their definition of hearing?

Ivies is his association for those attending ivy colleges. Maybe you could find out how matajan's fixation on ivy league is prevalent and how to possibly cure it - it seems psychological after all.
I mean what does hearing mean?
For example,
I defined this term that a person who is ability to speak and hear fully.

Some ivies did not know what does hearing mean if they haven't meet any deafies?
At cornell, I had conservation with old roommate...ask me why did I called myself as deaf but tell me about it. He noticed I used alarm clock and videophone and not able to wear headphone or cd player while using laptop. I told I am not hearing, he ask what does it really mean. I did not realize he haven't meet any deafies before, I explained to him then later he learned what it means in few months later.
Other one of my ex dating, she seem learned about deaf but do not know why I called her she is hearing, she tell me I cannot hear song or anything while she hear then tell me something.
When I brought my old friend from hs, he is hearing, introduce to them, they talked to them...sometime I did not get it...my ex dating seem feel bad for me cuz I brought friend who is student there.
Later, my dating and other friends met my schoolmate is really different from me...he is really busy with school and fraternity, in case, he is president of fraternity and lots of ask about him. He has fiancee who is hearing and now is first year at harvard law. He always lie about me and he told my friends that deaf is really disability and special need make me pissed off. My ex dating is really understand why he has no respect of me but no idea what hearing really mean. I never say things about hearing make other looks bad who cannot see any deafies. I wasn't surprise not many hearing know what it means at cornell and difference from csun.

why do you get pissed off? it IS a disability and you DO need special needs such as interpreter, alarm clock vibration, strobe light for fire alarm, etc.
why are you embarrassed about being deaf?
That why I transfer to gallaudet.
I do not feel comfortable to being called, "special need".
It defines that mental retardation who cannot to use ability in academic skill and education standard.
Also, people with mental disability like down syndrome, etc. is included special needs at school for the deaf.

Deaf people is not special need.
People with mental retardation is special need.
Right?
School for the deaf offers special needs since more than 25 years.
Because they are willing to let kids with special needs in.
In strangely, former special need get phd for doctor at yale medical school from csd fremont in early 1980s.
