In particular, the ACL. I just woke up with my left knee in a world of pain, and realized I didn't have my legs straight out, like I'm supposed to. The point? Never sleep with your legs bent at the knees if you recently injured the ACL of either knee, as it'll hurt like #$!@. Keep those legs straight, and you'll be all right. The pain is slowly receding, but it's a painful reminder of how I'm supposed to do things.

I gotta ask, why did you sleep with your knees bent if you knew you were not supposed to?

Easy to answer. I didn't start out that way, and only realized my mistake when my knee started screaming "bloody murder" in terms of pain, and I woke up. I always keep my legs straight, but I rarely get pain of this magnitude, though. I usually get minor aches and pains, and not a top-tier pain. That doesn't happen often.
