My first job was babysitting on and off. Then I got a job at my church to babysit 4-8 kids every Wed. night while the adults had choir practice. I did that all 4 years of high school.

My senior year of high school I was a busy bee! I was dually enrolled (still in high school while taking college classes), and worked 3 jobs: still worked for church Wednesday nights, worked for a consignment shop part time while being a journalist/photographer for a very small local newspaper. I didnt do all that because I had to, it was cuz I wanted to lol.

I worked at Subway the summer after my freshman year. The summer after my sophmore year I babysat cuz I put off looking for a real job til too late so I just took a babysitting job. The summer after my junior year (last year), I worked as a camp counselor for a camp for people with disabilities (we did have a few deaf campers). Now that I have graduated, I have my first true job that I have always wanted: teaching special education. There are no deaf students there but maybe one day in the future I will go back to my old elementary and middle school where there are deaf students.

From 11 to 17 years old:
Work at "The Green Man Pub/resturant" during school and college holiday to earn my own pocket money and support myself with anything what I want.

List of my age what I doing in The Green Man pub/resturant:

11 to 15 years old: help in the kitchen for resturant and morning cleaning before the pub open, of course help them with wedding preparation in resturant.

15-17 years old: help to pick emply glasses from customers table and wash the glasses. Sometimes I serve the drink for them. The customers are friendly and know I'm deaf. The pub owner & his family is like family to me. I look mature for my age which everyone thought I'm over 18 years old that's time I was 15 years old. lol

I left college and unemployment for 3 months and still work for The Green Man until I got a full time job to work for Police Criminal Unit when I was 17 years old until I'm married and move away to Germany when I was 22 years old. I do work for The Green Man Pub sometimes when they need my help for wedding, christening, any occassion preparation sometimes to 22 years old.

I love them very much and it's mixed feeling to give them farewell before I married and left to live in Germany. Our last visited to them during summer holiday 2000 and was told that the pub owner & his family sell their pub and move away. :tears: I thought about them sometimes because they are such loving people and know my family background.

I got job and work for US army caserne in Germany since January 1986 and still work until...................???????????

London.

The Green Man Pub resturant is between Hendon and Colindale, North West London.

I worked as a Teenage Correspondent for the Staten Island Advance when I was 14-15.

16-17, I worked for Friendly's Restaurant. I was a hostess and seated people, as well as dealt with some ice cream, etc...needless to say, I think I gained a little weight while working for them...LOL.

I did odd babysitting jobs...

I worked also as a bowling alley manager for a little less than a year...the alley closed down due to budgetary issues within the army post - and I had my son...so I never went back.

Working for Toys R Us now - been there since 2002, and still dealing with toys. :)

Also working a second evening job at Molyn Enterprises. They deal with supplying goods to schools and other organizations for fund-raising sales, holiday fairs, etc...

11yrold to present:: Nanny for my niece (I have been her nanny since she born. She was my first "babysit" gig at age 11 when she was four months old... POOR ME, I was soo inexperienced and contained no knowledge why a baby cried constantly!) whenever she is in the town (three months straight annually) with no paid wages. I only got paid if my niece got her friends coming over to play so their parents paid me... because they were not my relatives ;)

16yrold::: teacher's assistant for American Sign Language class at my highschool for $2.35 per hour... that was three years ago. NOT even a minimum wage!

17yrold to present::: hauler, petsitter, housemaid (intensely last summer and HATED it... but money was good).

(IN THE FUTURE)19yrold::: internship with SDSU/UCSD for a deaf group who advocates medical students to learn ASL and understand deaf cultures to ensure medical care for them.

Most of those jobs are not on payroll so I dont exactly have any REAL job experience especially in a workplace from 9 to 4.

14- p/t off-book paid summer job at an office
16-17 or 18- p/t stock clerk at a supermarket
20-present- f/t general office works at a payroll company. reports, investigations and payrolls.

I couldn't remember the ages but.. in order

1) Delivering newspapers door to door during in middle school - high school (included babysitting too)
2) Teacher's aide during Junior & Senior in High School to tutor students in math, history, governments/politics and biology classes
3) Construction (right after HS graudation)
4) Trainer at health club (my fav job)
5) One-to-one specialist with special kids at deaf schools (three different states and included counselor at dorm for one year as full-time job, yes two full-time jobs at same time. hence why only one year, it killed me faster than I thought)
6) Landscaping during only summers as odd jobs or part-time jobs (two summers when my job as specialist position is closed for summer)
7) Teaching ASL for interpreters at deaf school & college as part-time jobs
8) Current job: IT Specialist

9?) Possible new job: Political Analyst for newspaper, I filled up the application and interviewed twice included showed my works... the interviewer was saying that it is more likely that I will get a job. I like IT Specialist position (very flexible) but I think political Analyst is more fun for me, well for a while. To be honest with you, I am bit tired with paper works, I miss the labor/phyiscal works. I want to save the paper works for doctor position in the future... I probably will apply at Target as stock boy for part-time job so I can focus on college & exam bit more rather than full time job at big corporation as IT specialist. Not decide yet. College is far important than my current job but money talks.
