I like to know what the difference between professor at Gallaudet University and Harvard University?

My dad told me about comparison between Gallaudet and Harvard, once he warn me do not fool around people or I will get bad reptutation if I go to ivy league, I still wait for law school after complete BA degree.

Harvard is more tough like stricter than Gallaudet but one is much better change than past. Most of my friends went to Harvard and other colleges, they told me about amazing what they think of professor, they should never said "too easy for them". Once professor at Harvard do not care or know any one named, only lecture before let students study independent, also, professor always give too many tests and research a lot, often students must study every day, not like Gallaudet is one that students who had time that study few times per week, do involve sports, club, and greek. At Harvard, it is one of these historic school for more than decades that no one says "too easy for them" if they wont have to study every day, it will suffer in academic standing and bad reptuation, many years ago, many students who got great one then enter, it really easy, in result, it changes things become more harder at Harvard. Professor isn't like doing social and understandable with students, not always open for students to enter office hours or anywhere who had difficult time with projects or etc, every students got info from professor lecture and focus in class, watching online, they wont help students problem with financial, personal, career, and etc.

At Gallaudet, these great professors who helped students to knowledge with projects and career. Also, professors always happy to open for students to enter office, communication for else, talk about major and course. Professors had different way as flexible or standard time like lecture, work in lab, watch students in group, etc. I never seen students how they done in english class, but normally, in psychology, biology, economic, government, etc. was great for students to learn and listen to lecture and focus in whole hour before they ready to take exam, but one problem that often professors did not get point at topic enough or talk much about outside which is almost waste time. Because often students likes to debate or concern with teacher. Often, professor is willing to help students do with projects and others when they do not understand so much or missed class.

I think I learn about comparison between professor at Harvard and Gallaudet. If I got into Harvard or ivy league, would i get a great job and a lot of money from work after give recommendation from professor whose better know I am good students and study every day and get good grade? or simply to Gallaudet that I can get a great job and they will find out what professor done with me if I give recommendation?

Make no mistake:

Gallaudet is going to be much easier than Havard.

The rewards are IF you finish any ivy league school far outweigh Gallaudet.

The networking at any ivy league schools are much beneficial.

The SOCIAL networking and education is much better at Gallaudet.

Easier to go in and get a BA then continue education at the ivy schools, than getting a BA at Gallaudet and try to enroll at the nice schools for masters, etc..

I think the benefits of getting a degree from an ivy league school outweighs a degree from any university, including state universities, not just Gallaudet.

As for the professors, since I have no experience with any ivy league schools, I can only make assumptions that the professors at the Ivy League Universities are probably more likely highly acclaimed in their respective fields but how they teach the material really depends on each person's skills not on the university they work at. That's what counts the most.

Very true

A business degree (MBA) will on average earn you 65k out the door but while youre holding a MBA from MIT - 125K

Who knows about Wharton...

Oh, no.. not again! Her threads become more pointless. :hmm:

Nat84, if you really want to enroll into a Harvard law school, you seriously clean up your english grammar. I've noticed your english grammar is very flawed.

Anyway, really, Harvard or other universities have the standard of education. Depend on professors' teaching styles, some of them give students hard time because students have to learn to deal with challenges with their academics.

If you really want to go to Harvard, I wish you the best of luck. Only few Deaf students successfully enrolled into Harvard. :aw:

Harvard professors are respected. Gallaudet professors are not respected.

I think.

lol you'd be surprised :cool2: on the side note - my deaf friend made it in.

which one everyone have ever heard more about Harvard or Gallaudet?

who gives better answers? :aw:

When a Harvard professor asks, "How many weeks are there in a year?" Students will respond with "52 weeks."

When a Gallaudet professor asks, "How many weeks are there in a year?" Students will respond with "48 weeks."

:dunno:

Hmm, I don't see any difference in this. Sure, Harvard may be a lot more reputable than Gallaudet is but when it comes to the professors, some of them can be a pain in the neck and some of them aren't.

So, What's the point of this?

Beside being liberals and Democrats, both school faculty are good. But Harvard's famous profs don't really teach the classes, mainly TA or non-Engish-Foreigners-assistant.
The classes at Gallaudet I took were taught by professors with practical experiences. Don't know about Harvard, the smartest people usually have the most theoritical experiences....

lol excellent answer by Gallaudet students since the question was asked by Professor at university thus.... the context of the question is academic-related so the students replied back in same manner - 48 academic weeks! :cool2:

Good catch, Jiro!

The difference.

Havard is where you actual learn.

Gallaudet is where you actual party.
