I'm pretty sure you're aware of this 'new' singer by the namesake of 'Eminem'. What do you think of the way he makes degogrative references to beatings and killing? He seems to take much joy to his heart of singing swear words in every second word of his song...
I think he's one sick person. I am aware that he was raised in Chicago, ILL -- in a tough neighbourhood and have beaten his ex-wife, Kim, up countless of times and doesn't appear to give a bloody damn about anything but himself.

I just hope that my daughter will grow out of her craze over Eminem and move on to something better.

Thought Eminem grew up in Michigan not Illinois.

Myself I don't like Eminem at all. Cuz of his song and attitude really suck. One of his songs was homophobe. How do I know?
Went to Charlie's (one of my fave gay bars in Denver area) last year or so. Post said They reserve the right for refuse put any songs of Emeinem's. I was puzzled and why. Till I was told that song was pretty negative about "fag" and other words.

My young brother likes dress up like Eminem's. Hope he will outgrow anytime.

well -- i dont know really -- but i DO notice is this -- today's music (90s to present day) have no meaning to their music anymore

 It's OK -- it happens. ;) no worries, matey!

I know Eminem's a singer and he's quite popular -- popular with the young population of the world. I just don't agree what he writes and sings about. I think it does affect kids in a way we are not aware of.
Like Blink 182's 'Adam's Song' -- that has sent quite a number of teenagers to their deaths. I mean committing suicide after listening to that particular song. 'Adam's Song' glorifies taking one's life.

I read an article about a 17 year old teenaged Australian girl who committed suicide. She loved bands and songs that glorified suicide such as the song I mentioned in my previous post -- "Adam's Song". It's pretty sad, isn't it? :(

Oh well...in a way, I'm glad I cannot HEAR and understand the lyrics at all! Heheh...can only enjoy the beats and loud bass. ;)

Maybe you're right, Lasza about where Eminem was born -- but who cares? :P I don't care where he was raised, period! He's an insane person who apparently doesn't give a fuck about the world and how they percieve him.

Yeah, I've heard a lot about Eminem and his not so good lyrics. His songs sounds good but the lyrics are apparently bad. I dislike the way he treats people, and even though 8 mile was supposed to show the *real* side of him, I think he's a jerk. Goldie, I wish your daughter wasn't into it, I think she's crazy and I've told her so but ah well, she'll grow up.

I just don't like his attitude to the world, and I think that it's pretty sad he encourages other people to be like him. It is NOT cool to act like him, nor behave like him. It's a sad world we live in sometimes hey.

Yeah, I *AM* trying to be patient and wait out her phase.....sure will be quite a trying time! Not easy, but I will try!

Eminiem is very popular at my college. Thing is it's kind of confusing for me b/c when people talk about Eminiem I sometimes think they are talking about M&Ms, since the words sound and look the same.
I can't stand Eminiem either!!!!!! He's so hate filled it's almost like he's a parody. (sort of in the way that extremist conservative ranting is funny....I absolutly LOVE going on hyperconservative anti-GLB sites and laughing at all the stupid stuff on there)
Oh, and she'll probaly change her tastes in music. Back when I was a wee one I LOVED New Kids on the Block....now I cannot believe I ever liked them..I now LOVE folk....I am the biggest folkie dyke grrrl you ever will meet! (and yes, my favorite group is Indigo Girls...how'd you guess :)
