special nuclear blow all hearing people to become deaf and who is natural deaf is still deaf .... What will u do about these stunned community ?
 
I'd tell the former-deafies to shut up with their so-called "deaf pride" since they are no longer a minority.
 
ROTF.. ohhhh!

I think the ones who were originally deaf - would be counselors for the newly deafened, cos I think there would be a lot of sadness and depression with the sudden loss of hearing.
 
The people who invested in cochlear implant industry will become trillionaires, if that's a real word!

I resent CI too !!! and I will be very very very very haaapppppyyy to be huge boss to command all rookie deafies .. and will promote these natural deaf to be huge supervisor and see how these rookie deaf feel about these ... mmmm

I think lt was long time ago.. come from v1 or 2.. cannot remmy which verison coming from.
Benefitical for all Deaf peepz have greater community influde (sp) growth stronger "Deaf Pride". ((chuckles))..

Few days ago, I've watched the "Deaf Pride" which issues about the National Wide Deaf Expo" Pretty wonderful and work hard taught all the world what is the about Deaf Pride for... To provide their needs equimpment and other etc etc.. meet their lifestyles!
I would be awe for Knighwolf's comment .. Good quite topic!
 
errr I mean I resent Sabrina's idea.

Imagine this... me being hearing all my life then all of a sudden I become deaf because of the bomb. With no knowledge in sign language and all of my families and friends are hearing. How do interact with them? I miss the sounds of everything! That's like a cultural shock to me. I'd get a CI in a split second!

I've been deaf since birth so CI is not an emergency for me. That's the difference.

What if it is impossible for former hearing to get ci becasue it is blow below the result to meet the requirement to be hearing again by ci .... I will be very hugest SMILE IN THE WORLD HEHE

It's because you're already deaf so that's easy for you to say. :D

I agree! I hope there will be plenty of help to cope with this, too. Counseling etc.. it'd be hard to live without something you had all of your life!

What if ER get out of hands and don't know what to do with these entire rookies deaf IT would be chaos for sure ...

Ah, I don't think that would happen. If everyone went deaf or if deafness became an accepted mutation, then deafness would become the norm. You don't see CIs/hearing aids for snakes, butterflys and the like (all of which are deaf!) do you?
 
A HUGE CHAOSSSSSSSS IN ER FOR DAMN SURE... IT'S GOING TO BE LIKE :crazy:all over the hospital... "what to do what to do???!!!"
