Okay, Before we go into this thread; Please at least, keep religion discussion out of this, however, in consideration of our members whom are in any of their religion form, they can at least say they like Christmas which are related to their beliefs. Although, I ask you guys not to let any flaming/bashings happen here. I'm also asking for us, at least, to get along and to respect each other. :)

Thanks.

Anyway, Here's my likes and dislikes of Christmas;

Like - The celebration of Jesus's birth. Family getting together. Good/Delicious Meals. And to be thankful for everything.

Dislike - Christmas has became commercialized. The stress that the job gives me. Traffic's horrible.

Oh wait...

Dislike: All the dang tempting food such as peppermint bark, chocolate candy canes, and peanut brittle o_O

My likes about Christmas:

the birth of Jesus Christ and what he did for us as well. The family tradition of baking Christmas cookies, being with the family/my sons seeing their face light up when they open presents, sending and receiving Christmas cards, looking at all the Christmas decorations, lights and trees.

My dislikes about Christmas:

Black Friday shoppers, those who are in a rush, acted like a bunch of maniacs. My dad who can't be with us for Christmas, we would have to bring Christmas to him and his grandchildren are going to miss out Christmas with their grandpa because of no children visitors allowed at hospital. I also don't like wrapping presents. lol

That is interesting thread.

LIKES: A birth of Jesus Christ, get together with family/friends, delicious food, making Christmas craft, open the presents, beautiful Christmas lights on houses, listen the Christmas music and watch Christmas movies. My favorite Holiday is second Christmas.

DISLIKES traffics, job retails, crowd people, run out of stock, spend too much gifts, stress out, long lane at post office and Black Friday shopper, and some of bad luck in past. I had FLU, my dad was very dying of cancer in 1996, my mom fell down and get sprain in her leg, bad storm on the road, power outage in houses and last minutes to send a Christmas card

Likes:
Family being together (very rare), a nice Christmas tree, happy holiday cheer, lots of food! :D

Dislikes:
Traffic, screaming children, no snow to play in. :(

Likes: Seeing houses decorated, seasonal foods, opening presents.

Dislikes: Impatient people in public places.

Likes: The Christmas tree all lit up in my house, Peppermint bark candy, spending the day with my family, and getting the traditional fancy bras and undies from my hubby.

Dislikes: the spending, the stress of trying to get everything needed for all the parties and school events, and not seeing my family in AZ.

Likes:

Birth of Christ ~ K4T: Dynamations <----- this couldn't say it better than I can.

The fact that most jobs are closed for the Holidays, so family can actually spend time together once again -- how often can you spend time with your siblings after they are grown and have a job... make you miss the good old days when all sisters and brothers lived at home. The song "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" couldn't explain it better than I can either:

"Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more."

Dislike: trying to figure out the right present at the right price, weight gain, traffics , and rude people due to stress.

Likes:

Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, Christmas Eve service, Christmas baking

Dislikes:

The commercialization of the holiday, the packed stores, the rude people, the coast of everything, and having Santa thrown in my face.

The last one about Santa being thrown in your face is true for me too. Not that I don't like him or anything, it's just that every year, my brother and I have to take a picture with dear Santa for our mother; it makes her happy with glee...sigh...but it's not fun to have small children point and laugh and ask why there's 2 big grown-up kids sitting with Santa.

I'm not a fan of 'tradition'. Xmas alright as far as religious holiday.but even in a religious sense hte traditions have changed.
the commercialization......everyone feels they have to do this and have to do that. Same for thanksgiving...etc.
traditions get changed into people's ego sense.
xmas and thanksgiving are days I generally like to isolate into that deafie zone.
traditions lost thier true sense....... blown into ego contest now.

i've heard that jesus christ of nazareth wasn't actually born on december 25th. oh well.

i don't care for christmas, i only deal with it when it comes to my parents because they feel the need to give me something. :|

Likes: Being home with my family and getting gifts for my family and friends that I know are just perfect and they'll love.
Dislike: The commercialization of Christmas and the crowds of rude people

Likes: A time of the year when families get together, yummy Christmas goods, Christmas lights.

Dislikes: Too commericalized.

My likes: Its celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, family and friends, and being thankful for having a roof over my head. I also, love the Christmas music, the smell of pine from the Christmas tree and decorations. I forgot to add tamales and See's candy

My dislike: The true meaning of Christmas getting lost somehow.

Likes: Midnight Mass

Dislikes: People thinking that Christmas only means Santa and gift receiving.
