After a conversation with the contractor, he is planning on fulfilling a wish from daughter. My daughter has a treasured teddy bear that she got at 2-3 days old from my Uncle and Aunt on my Dad's side. The bear is named for their daughter who was murdered in MN back in 1991 or thereabouts. Well, Cathy is a GUND bear and has been so well loved that she has lost quite a bit of her fur. GUND offered to replace Cathy, but daughter was so heart-broken about losing Cathy thay she didn't sleep for 2 weeks. We decided not to go this route as it would be too traumatic for my daughter given all her issues. Well, Daughter will be 18 on March 29th and Cathy will be 18 on March 31 or April 1st. Daughter asked if the contractor would build a box to put Cathy into where we could have a way to slide a piece of glass out and get to Cathy. Contractor is going one better. Actually a bunch better!! He will be building a bod and insetting it into the wall next to daughter's closet. (The box will actually be in the closet) We will have a special frame and glass just like a picture with Cathy sitting in a padded covered inside of a wood box. Daughter is over the moon about this.
