Someone told me when your hearing level drops theres nothing much anyone can do to stop it.Not even medication can stop you from being deaf.
 
Depends upon why the loss. Sometimes steroids can reverse SSNHL and a tumor could cause conductive loss and be helped by removal of the tumor.

For otosclerosis, the replacement of little bones in the ear with titanium can fix it...
 
Docs tried steroids didn't work. And MRI showed no tumors in my brain. They think its a virus took away the hair nerves in my hearing.

That happens. I got quite a bit of cranial nerve damage from a virus and lost more hearing, balance, and have facial paralysis on the left side.
