Wedding ring on fourth finger why?

Before I married my husband I wore his mother's wedding ring because I had some of my clients hitting on me . They where dirty old men but they would not bother a married woman. I mean they where OLD , 80 , 90 .

This is what I heard as well, but the vein in actuality doesn't lead from that finger to the heart.
 
Wow interesting. When I was engaged, I assumed it was due to using that finger the least so as to minimize damage to the ring's finish.
 
I never take my wedding ring off. Well when I was in the hospital my hubby took it off per their orders. It was one of the first things I asked for when I finally woke up. I love the bling!!!!! The more bling the better. My girls as of now are not into the bling but I have started passing down some special pieces. My mother in law left me some OMG pieces of jewelry.

I think it's the finger people use the least to pick their noses:laugh2:
 
Mmm..It thought that the wedding ring is sacred and putting on 4th finger is the cleanest of all... index finger tend to get dirty and pointing at someone with dirty finger is a no no...middle finger tend to flip a birdie and that is a dirty one and the little finger where people tend to pick booger out of the nose.... so... 4th finger is??? what it actually do?? nothing..always the cleanest one! RIGHT??? RIGHT??

LOL! The 4th finger hold made it easier to hold a pen , but not many people use a pen these days.
