hey guys - just curious if you know any good reliable web hosting server for a good price. I'm interested in this 1and1 Web Hosting for $4.99 a month but do you know any other that is better than this deal?
 
Gee, what about a traffic bandwidth fee? It's risk. If it is only a small fraction of this cost, you wouldn't know if your website is popular, and you would end up a lot of money to pay the service.

It would be a good idea for you to join a good deaf host service. It's because we are hearing impaired that need to support our culture. Here is the link: deafvision.net . (It's up to you.)

its bandwidth limit is 1200gb per month. that's mighty plenty enough for me. My site is very low-traffic. I suppose this is a sweet deal for me, si?

What's the name of the website that you are running? I bet that it's good.
 
If it's a personal website for personal use, then you don't need anything big because you won't be expecting heavy traffic.

Bandwidth is good for people who are running high-traffic websites.

I suggest you start something small and go from there. Check your usage stats every month. If you think you need more, upgrade later. :)

yea the thing is... what attracts me is its web space - 120gb!!! :-o and my current web hosting is only 75mb for $25 a year.

wow that is awesome deal. 350gb web space and 3,000gb/month bandwidth limit. great find!! thanks. I think I'll go with gaterhost but I'll give it a little more time for other people to post their suggestions.

Do you really need 160 GB webspace?

I have 2 websites and I don't even use more than 10 MB! :)
 
I bought www.freeshell.org $36 for Lifetime 600mb (yourname.choosedomain,choosedomain.ort/com) plus GoDaddy (your own domain and forward) $9 per year
support cgi, php, perl, python, ruby

I use godaddy for domain as they are cheap.. But they have became too focused in sale than customer support. If you were with godaddy for 5+ years, you will noticed that their webpage/support becoming too confusing to nav..

I am moving my domains to Pair as they have been in business since 1995 and they are very focused in customer.. They depends on customers to bring business (resell). That is why they are very successful.
 
The cruel thing that you have to think about being support deaf companies and deaf community.

If you don't then, our deaf companies might collapse someday because you don't support.

If you own a deaf business, will you expect that deaf people would support you? I don't think so. You need to wake up yourself.
