I am just wonder...

How important is videophone be userful and what are you expect?

For example;

Sorenson have benefit for directly VRS service that appear their display for the phone number that I wish to call instead of tell the interpeter like few seconds or min delay of waste..

Is something we should expect from VRS? Like--- sign their service and use their DNS that will work?

I don't think so. Likely that Sorenson holds copyrights, and in order to create this feature for other VRS, that means other vrs provider have to buy "licensing" from Sorenson and rewrite program to add feature which cost $$$$ and that FCC have cut down the reimbrushment rate lately. That means VRS provider might not be able to get mony back after spending alot of money onto the programming cost.

what are you two going on about? I can't understand what either of you is trying to say.

I saw videophone at festival last Saturday. A lady sells videophones for DSL connection and many offers from company... Unfortunlately Public Health Insurance reject to cover the cost of videophones. Nobody order videophones for that $1,500.

Videophone cost €1,200. ($1,509)... I was nearly faint when a lady mentioned the price to me... I prefer to use webcam, fax and mobile phone to videophone.

I heard that other type of videophones cost between €200 and €250 ($251 and $314) but I don´t know either they are connect to DSL or not.

You really dont need to purchase expensive videophone. Try this one Dlink DV-1000 videophone however, depend the type of router that would match your High Speed Internet cable/DSL modem. It only costs about 139.00 U.S. dollars. The best safe is to use the HS Internet cable modem since you need a good video quality on excellent speed.

I understand that Sorenson company may not let anyone to use the Sorenson VP-100/200 outside of United States. Yet, I have heard that some people use Dlink videophones in different nations. I have not used any deafie to use outside of U.S. execpt my wife did videochatted via DV-1000 with her friend in Hong Kong.

Liebling, are you ready for videophone device at home or work? :scatter:
