The dogs were abandoned and left behind. Now all that has changed. Good to see them be honored like, the Solders they are. This picture touches my heart as well.

Click to expand... yep... service dogs (not the disability type but for army and police officer) are considered as officers... they even ranked higher than Private!

Now the U.S. military no longer have them abandoned and left behind when they finish their tours or services in Iraq and Afghanistan.
