What do you do when your bf decides he doesn't like your idea for valentines day and doesn't want to plan somthing him self so would rather not do anything? My bf doesn't like my idea of him comming here and me cooking him dinner and than going to my little romantic get away and feeding eachother chocolate covered strawberrys. Now my bf doesn't like that at all for some reason. the other thing i was gonna do you guys gotta tell me if this is good. I was going to go to his school earlier and drop off a balloon and a 3 roses for each month we've been dating. and a card that says if you want the suprises to continue meet me in our baby ( our truck) after school. i think this is probally the best thing i can do on a tight budget and he hates it idk it makes me feel like he's telling me i'm not good enough. So what am i to do and would you like it if your gf/ bf did this for you
 
Urrggg bad memories, My ex husband doesn't seem to buy me anything for Valentine's day, I did cooked him a nice dinner with candles but I end up burning the chicken, and boy he went out and pick up Arby's instead :(
 
Accept the fact that some guys are not on the romantic side. They know you love him and that is good enough. They don't see the point in spending money or having a girl do something for them when they are the ones who are supposed to make the Valentine's Day move on her. Remember guy's minds and the girl's minds work very differently. It is a matter of finding the right balance.

Meeting him in your truck???? Huh???? Most girls don't have a truck. That may be part of why he is going huh?

I am sure it would be better to wait until you are married. You are still in high school from what I understand?

If you are going to get him something. Buy something he can use and will appreciate then everytime he works on a car or is fixing something and he has the tool that you gave him. He will remember you much better and daydream about you while he works on the car or is fixing something and his mind drifts to better days with you. ;)

Times are changing. I never saw a girl own a truck in my time when I was in high school.

Lol yes heath i'm in high school and he is obsesive about my truck. he was at my house this weekend and i couldn't get him out of the truck he was having to much fun playing with it and fixing it. So i was gonna pick him up in it to bring him home for dinner. And see i told him so there is no point to valentines day and he's like yes there is but he still doesn't wanna do anything. GRRR men.
 
I hate unromantic men, If I end up dating one of those, I dumped them so quick before their head spins. Romantic is very important to me, I don't expect gifts or cards to show their love to me, I expect action on how to be romantic. Ladies are known as homemakers while other men know how to good as well as ladies do too. We might have more romantic ideas better than men do, but on the other hand there are some men out there as good as ladies. When I found Diehardbiker, OMG! He's the romantic one for me, I love the way he holds me, touch me, kiss me, telling me he loves me, means so much to me. That's why I keep him around. ;) I don't expect gifts from him, I only want his love, and have a nice candle light dinner maybe a hot bubble bath with candles. ;)

Ahh Cheri i am so so jeleaous i'm my bf's first gf so i'm teaching him lots of new stuff he is really romantic usually that's why i had to come ask for help cause it wasn't like him to be so un romantic so yea i think he is scared he's gonna screw up lol so cheri what are you and diehardbiker doing for valentines day?

He should be a working man and get his own truck.

Your father bought the truck for you then your father should be the only one to fix your truck.

Men are to start Valentine's Day off the right foot for you. Wine & dine and dance, do something fun together. It is a good skill to have when get married in the future too as well.
 
Right now I am single...in the past my ex never does anything for V day. :( Maybe my new love will. :) I like to have romantic dinner (either at home or out to dinner), bubble bath with some wine/champange, and make love all night long . :naughty:

my dad doesn't know how to fix the truck and doesn't want to so me and my bf are and my bf doesn't want a truck he wants a chevy corvette so until than he's alowwed to play with my truck.

Be sure your insurance covers him too in the event, God forbid there was an accident. He should pay his own money to be on your insurance policy if he wants to ride with you.

I think your boyfriend still should be a working man and get his own truck & pay his own insurance.

Is your boyfriend in a vo-tech school or going to ASE training school beyond what your boyfriend's father and another guys taught your boyfriend? http://www.asecert.org/

Guys can learn something from this post. I had to learn it myself too. That will be a very good skill to learn once you are married and make your wife happy. :) :thumb:

Aww, Don't be jealous, since you said he is new to this relationship, being a teacher to him would lead the relationship stronger. Diehardbiker and I cannot be together on Valentine's day because he is working and I'm in Ohio, but we planning on spending the weekend together on the 18th. I cannot wait because I love being with him, He is very special person in my life. ;)

We are both being taught by one of our teachers well he's my teacher won't be his till next year. umm but he is ase trained and so is teaching us. And no he shouldn't have to pay to ride with me i love him he's my bf i'm not gonna make him pay to do somthing we both love. And if theres an accident and the truck can't be fixed i call my grandpa and say grandpa i need a new a truck and i get one. I'm spoiled when it comes to cars. so yea my boy doesn't have to worry about it i love him so it doesn't matter. Now back to valentines day. Lol

Awwww i'm so sorry you can't be with him. But at least you get to see him that weekend. That will still be special. lol and i have to say john is the same way i love being with him i even asked him last night if he had the chance to live with me so he would never have to leave would he and he said yes cause he can't stand being a moment away so yay see he can be romantic and he is very special in my life he has helped my life be what it is and is really excited to start learning sign so we can have an easier time comunicate he can now spell his name and my name which is major progress and in our high school we have asl classes and he said he would take a year of it so we can comunicate. menyou can't live with the and you can't live with out them :giggle:
