I have been thinking about moving to the VA/MD/DC area. I was curious how affordable is the housing. And, where is the most affordable housing. I know to avoid DC itself. I saw some of the rents there and I just :jaw: because of the cost. If I get the job I am looking for inside DC, then I would probally commute to a Metro Station with commuter parking and take the Metro in. Any suggestions on what towns I should look in for housing?

Hi, I just got my real estate license in DC. If you would like feel free to email me and we can discuss what is available.

Cool. Make sure that you type something in the subject like ALLDEAF so that I don't accidently delete it.

Oooooh!! Shameless self-advertising, aren't we? ;) So, what's the average cheap rent or mortage in that area? Please give details!!! You'll never know if there are some other peeps who might ALSO be thinking of moving there, too!

its EXPENSIVE nuf said -- i live in Montgomery County myself right near Prince Georges County and the District lines -- i looked around some time ago in the area of Gaithersburg/Germantown (what we would call "upcounty") and western Montgomery County -- the rent there has gone UP massively -- Prince Georges County used to be affordable but now its not, same applies with Howard, Anne Arundel, Calvert Counties and northern Virginia counties -- Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax (the ones i can remmy right off the bat)

ive also got pretty disgusted at the growth around here with the greedy ppl who are taking the land to build homes that are outrageously expensive and selling them are not considerate of the wild animals who are trying to find their habitats that are getting too scarce -- more sightings of wild animals are a more common occurances -- EVEN around here i have seen a fox roaming the neighborhood along with deer so i wont be surprised if i happen to catch sight of another type of wild animal that is trying to find a home/food and are unable to do so cuz of the greedy idiots

ok im done with my ranting over the idiots who takes away the land for their self satisfaction of taking away natural habitats for the wild animals -- good luck Prostock in ur search for affordable housing around here

it is hardly shameless self advertising since I didn't start the thread and it was in response to a relevant question. It wouldn't be professional of me to post real estate advice on a forum especially someones personal advice.
