I've ordered MyTTY and I wanted a USB TTY Modem because NXi (The makers of NexTalk VM for receiving incomming/placing outgoing TTY calls) doesn't have USB Modem for NexTalk when checking out/placing order.

Because I have a laptop, do you have any recommendations on getting a USB Voice modem?

I'm in tight budget, so I'm in the process of selling my TTY, and I'm moving to computer-based TTY software.

Thanks.

PS: The reason I'm staying with TTY is all about keeping in touch with co-workers and employers, collegues, etc. so I can't assume that all businesses have moved to E-Mail/Instant Messaging, EVEN if I work as a game developer with all the latest in tech! :)

Never mind my thread. I'll be getting a TrendNet TFM-560X 56K/14.4 V.92 External Data/Fax/Voice Modem which I needed since most of the desktop/laptop modems in the market omitted the voice capabilities of the modem except a few like this one and Creative Lab's Modem Blaster Data/Fax/Voice modem.

I could be wondering if there's any modems that don't use up 1 wall outlet, which could be powered up via USB?
