Hi. While I was looking at the list of courses needed to pass to get an Associates in Science Degree (I'm taking Digital Media Technology, specializing in Design and Development, which is needed to get to university, so I can take a game development course), I've typed in "American Sign Language" and when I went into ASL Courses, I saw this:

American Sign Language course work may not satisfy the foreign language graduation requirements at some universities.

I found this interesting, so here's my question:
What are the universities that satisfy the foreign language as a graduation requirement?

I'm not sure if University of Central Florida does (I plan to go there after I graduate from Valencia Community College in Orlando), so I'm just wondering...

Has this question already been asked?

UCF has a great ASL program/lab as well as major/minor in interpreting, and ASL/Deaf studies. I just moved from Orlando to go to Maryville College which incidentally was the first college in the country to offer a major as a sign language interpreter. You will do well learning ASL at UCF (I know a few of the professors there).

Also from what I know American Sign Language is accepted at most every college I checked out (which was alot) for fulfilling the foreign language requirements.

We both are VIP members! Cool!

I went into University of Central Florida's website and they do have ASL courses, so they qualify as a foreign language graduation requirement.

Thanks.
