United Airlines Flight 89 hits severe turbulence; people injured

I fly many times, and I've experienced severe turbulence only twice with Boeing 747 (one from Germany to New York City, and another one was Portugal to Washington DC.) I did not like when plane dropped about 1,000 feet, it does make me to tighten my seatbelt as I thought it's over. The food, and drinks are all over the floor when it happened.

So would I.. I do love to fly..

my favorite part is taking off and landing..

But planes do hit air pockets which is why I always have seatbelt on whenever I'm sitting in my seat. Never know when the plane might drop.. Each time I see people unbuckle their belts when sign goes off.. I shake my head and think they are stupid!

I remember one time someone next to me commented that they hated to see the wings move up and down and I said to them, you want the wings to move up and down, if they don't, they would break instead of bending and that person looked at me like I was nuts!
