Going without water, can only live few days max!

Going without food, depend on how much fat is stored in body but average is about 3 months or so.

Heh. Was taught set of threes:

Three minutes without air, three days without water, three weeks without food.

No scientific basis, I know because the facts say otherwise, but just a baslc survival rule of thumb.

A person can go 2 weeks without fluids and up to a few months without food. Take both away, and the person will die within 2-4 wks depending on health at the time of the disruption in hydration and nutrition.

India has had all kinds of stories published in the media. Not to slam any religion, but in Hinduism, they have so pretty far out beliefs. Anyone in the Hindu religion can clam a "god" status. I was told this from a Muslim co-worker who lives in India. He told me some pretty far out stories about their beliefs.

This story is just another example of it.
