From another discussion board I'm on and my reply below...
I post this here for discussion purposes :gossip: and to see various opinions... If done correctly the topic can be discussed without flames or attacks or anything else. Everyone has their opinion if it doesn't connect with yours ... it doesn't matter... hearing both sides is always a good thing.

No matter what your party affiliation.....This is something to consider.....

CHANGE?

Not long ago I read a joke ... It said all the politicians running for president are promising change to the American people. We send them billions and billions of tax dollars and they send us the change.

Funny?

Not really; there is too much truth in it to be funny.

That got me to thinking ... They all promise change. How about if they run on a promise of restoration rather than change.

A restoration that would take us back in time to a place where things ran better, smoother and life was more enjoyable.

Change? That, in truth, is what they have been giving us all along.

We used to have a strong dollar ... Politicians changed that.

Marriage used to be sacred Politicians are changing that.

We used to be respected around the world ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have a strong manufacturing economy Politicians changed that.

We used to have lower tax structures Politicians changed that.

We used to enjoy more freedoms ... Politicians changed that.

We used to be a large exporter of American made goods .. Politicians changed that.

We used to teach patriotism in schools ... Politicians changed that.

We used to educate children in schools ... Politicians changed that.

We used to enforce LEGAL citizenship ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have affordable food & gas prices ... Politicians changed that, too ... And one could go on and on with this list.

What hasn't been changed, politicians are promising to change that as well, if you will elect them.

When, oh when, is America going to sit back with open eyes and look at what we once were and where we have come and say, enough is enough?

The trouble is, America 's youthful voters today don't know of the great America that existed forty and fifty years ago. They see the world as if it has always existed, as it is now.

When will we wake up?

Tomorrow may be too late. When will America realize

Politicians are what is wrong with America ?

What is needed is for the constitution to be amended to limit all Senators and Representatives to TWO terms in office like the president. Oh, by the way, no big pension either, social security just like the rest of us.

Being a politician shouldn't be a persons life work but rather a call to service then back to being an honest hard working citizen.

PLEASE PASS THIS ONE AROUND
(and please include the younger people you know..especially the youngest...they have sadly missed a great deal in their education and many are too young to know.

Change... definitely a watch word... change for the better? or worse?
Change by whose definition? Change by whose standards? Ours? Theirs?
Honestly I believe that it is not ALL the politicians fault... the ones who are really behind the curtain are the ones with the money... the banking cartels and such. They are the ones with the real power. With their money they can make or break a politician, and thus hold them in such a vise that they (the politician) doesn't dare struggle or protest, lest they lose everything. But still the politicians have their share of the blame. Their unwillingness to have the balls to stand up to those trying to squeeze them. Their own distrust of the American People to stand behind them and to say ENOUGH! DAMMIT ENOUGH!
No more will you determine the cost and price of everything! No more will you change the value of our dollar and make it less than what it actually is. No more will you use your money to force us to borrow it at interest and force us to pay the interest until we have to borrow (again at interest) to keep from defaulting on the loan!
No more will you tell us to go to war or find excuses to go to war, so that big businesses will reap their huge profits from the sales of arms, steel, fuel, etc. to keep the war going so the profits continues.
No more will you determine who gets elected and who doesn't by the simple matter of increasing campaign funds so that a lesser opponent doesn't have a chance to win because they cannot afford the air-time and advertising dollars needed to WIN the election.
No more will you assassinate our leaders just because they try to have the balls to stand up to you and your self-serving machinations.
The American people still have the power by the constitution to make this happen.
If the American people want change... they're going to have to make it themselves. It won't be pretty but dammit it'll happen.

Quotes from the film... offered for discussion

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous than standing armies... if the american people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency... the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of their property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
Thomas Jefferson 1743-1826

The refusal of King George III to allow the colonies to operate an honest money system which freed the ordinary man from the clutches of the money manipulators was probably the prime cause of the revolution.
Benjamin Franklin Founding Father

(Our) great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is privately concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men... who necessarily, by very reason of their own limitations, chill and check and destroy genuine economic freedom.
We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world – no government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men
Woodrow Wilson

Give me control of a nation's money supply and I care not who makes it's laws.
Mayer Amschel Rothschild – Founder of Rothchild Banking Dynasty

If you... examined (the 16th Amendment) carefully, you would find that a sufficient number of states never ratified that Amendment
U.S. District Court Judge James C. Fox 2003

Sixteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sixteenth Amendment (Amendment XVI) to the United States Constitution allows the Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states or basing it on Census results. This amendment overruled Pollock v. Farmers' Loan & Trust Co. (1895), which limited the Congress's authority to levy an income tax.

It was ratified on February 3, 1913.

How wars are usually started!
The large banking interests were deeply interested in the world war because of the wide opportunities for large profits.
William Jennings Bryan
World War One
Sir Edward Grey: What will Americans do if Germans sink an Ocean Liner with American passengers on board?
House: I believe that a flame of indignation would sweep the U.S. And that by itself would be sufficient to carry us into war!
World War Two
The question was how should we maneuver them into firing the first shot? It was desirable to make sure the Japanese be the ones to do this so that there should remain no doubt as to who were the aggressors
Henry Stimson – Roosevelt's Secretary of War Nov 25th 1941

Two key words that are in our government today...
An evil exists that threatens every man, woman an child of this great nation. We must take steps to ensure our domestic security and protect our homeland.
Adolf Hitler when announcing the Gestapo to the people.
A good question that leaves us to find out the answer sooner or later...
We shall have world government whether or not we like it. The only question is whether world government will be achieved by conquest or consent.
James Warburg To the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations 1950

We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto determination practiced in past centuries.
-David Rockefeller Council On Foreign Relations

When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.

Life is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you go on it, you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down and around and around, it has thrills and chills and it's very brightly colored. And it's very loud and it's fun for a while. Some have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question: Is this real? Or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered and they come back to us and they say: Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid ever, cause this is just a ride. And we kill those people. Shut him up! I got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account and my family, this has to be real. It's just a ride. But we kill those guys trying to tell us that, you ever notice that? And we let the demons run amuck. But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a choice right now, between fear, and love.
