Hey!
So I'm trying to learn ASL for a few reasons (work, communicating with friends and because it is just a great language) and I would normally ask one of my friends who are Deaf but they took a trip down south and I doubt they'll have their phones and stuff glued to them on the beach but all of that is just me getting off topic and rambling. I'm learning a bit of ASL and I want to use it when I'm with my Deaf friends because I feel like it would be more polite but I know my sign is sloppy and at this point still mostly guesses on my part so I don't want to offend anyone by butchering the sign or anything like that.
So I guess my question is; is it rude to sign and risk messing it up or is it rude to not even try and use my sign.
Thanks so much for your help!
