Trash in Italy

:eek3: Wow, that's far out about the trash problem in Italy. I hope the government do something and get this cleaned up. This probably would take several truckloads to haul those trash to clean it up. Very sad and sickening to see this happening.

Oh my God. How can they allowed it to increase the pile everyday and not do a thing about it. It is disguisting that they are not thinking recycling wise. Hope someone can stop and think about their actions and do something about their city as the threads below says it is only in Naples that is the dirtiest city. So sad

Yeah saw that on the news show and also in newspapers too.. terrible sight indeed there... hope that can be cleaned up faster or there gonna be trouble....

THAT'S NOTHING NEWS.

1983 and 1985, we were in Italy for 6 months. I noticed that Naples, Italy has problem with trash. All other cities (Rome, Milan, Venice, Pisa, etc) are not bad.

Right now, my wife is in Venice, Italy. We have condo at near Venice. I will ask her when she will come back to the USA.

In Philadelphia has some trash problem.

New Brunswick, NJ has trash problem, too. End of May, most college students dumps few TVs, sofa, fish tank, few beds, keg, old computer monitor, kitchen stuffs, etc. Must empty rental house or apt. Lot mexican people came up to pick junk stuffs.

Some other cities have lack of recycle.

As far as I could see, this was video of an old fashioned city dump on the edge of a town in Italy?

It hasn't been that long since we had these in the United States.

The sanitary landfills are really a relatively new concept.

I agree with comments. That's only one place (Naples) has problem with trash. All other cities are fine.

I understand that you never saw how look bad in Italy. Still nothing news for me that we have been there. Most time, we stay at Venice, Italy. Some time, we visited our friends live in Rome, Naples and Sicily.

I think Mexico City is worst pollution.

mostly city not friendly to trash somewhere and need to have neato city than MESS in city!

my hometown always kept clean sometime mess because forgot trash truck not come ontimes that why! but i always recycle plastic bottle and lots of mores!

Yes, its only place is in Naples which is really sad... :(

I went to different places in Italy a lot and dont see like that... Yes I aware that they mix glasses, plastics, papers with dirty in one bin but not like that what I view the video...

you have a clean hometown because they dump their mess on someone's hometown... oh well.... the sad fact of life - a divide between the rich and poor... our dumps go to Pennsylvania.

For me, I think it was largest cities in China like Beijing or Shanghai have worst pollution but can't find statistic.

Olympic has order China to have clean air in Beijing when olympic is start in session, China have going to temporary shut factories down and rid of many transportation to make small.

sexy trash man

So do you think she dresses lkie that everytime to take the trash out? I mean wow I wish trash men/women dressed that way here in Texas.

Also I can't help but wonder about the whole steering wheel being on the left side of the car instead of the right side, do they not drive on the wrong side of the road either?

Update

Naples Garbage Crisis Update - iReport.com

It amazes me that they continue to pile up the trash in the city while little effort to pick it up. It's sad and disturbing that they do not show they care for the environments.

What if the garbage piles burns? Then maybe the people who dumped the trash will get burned up and then we'd have no more dumpers there. :eek2:

That is very terrible. Would be so easy to spread the diseases from rats etc.

Overall China IS the worst polluter, true enough, but im not sure about the trash problem. Just seems elike they're only a few decades behind on emissions issues, and really not giving a rats ass about fixing it for the most part.

Disgusting. I hope they will find a way to resolve this problem before too long. :(
