Hi Java,

You don't need to have a "business" website. This free promotion applies to personal websites and home pages as well as non-profit organizations. :)

For now, I'm only accepting text links and a brief description of the site. Remember, you don't have to place a banner on your site either, a text link back to AD would do. ;)

Alex,

The 3.3 million hits mean nothing. What I am interested in is unique visits. You didn't paste those statistics.

Taking from the total pages served, on the statistics you posted, 14,592 that tells me the 3.3 million hits were from repetitive hits, or all those graphics from the signatures and avatars linking all over outside and inside.

Also, LexServ.net is your company. It's not a "partnership". I dislike misleading advertising, Alex. Simply say it's your company. No need to hide it. Your phone number and address on the domain record tell me it's you.

Mod Edit: Too much info about "me."

It's not misleading, it just sounds more professional. You should know that by now. I can call Lexerv my company, an affiliate, associate, partner, or whatever I wish. Besides, I never denied the fact that I run Lexserv. There are people here that know I run Lexserv.net, and my address is already on the Support section of the site, so I'm not hiding anything and there's no need to remind us again.

About the statistics, I never claimed "unique" hits, so I don't know what you're trying to prove here. The 14,000+ visits are "unique" visitors, that's correct. If you're not interested in plain ol' hits, then don't bother.

Seriously, I don't undertand why you're upset about my post. I'm simply trying to set up a network through my website, and I don't see what is wrong with that, since everyone wins through reciprocal link exchange. Maybe you should do something like that for your forum, then it wouldn't be so "dead." ;)

MOD (Alex):

Too much info about you? It's posted in Whois which practically anyone with brains can access. Since it's "too much info" I can then say now the phone number and address were retrieved from public whois and Google respectively. Anyone can see it. If you didn't want it there, then change the registrar information so it's pointing to a PO Box or something. And the phone number too. That's what I do with my domains so no one knows where I live.

I used Google to look up your phone number and it showed your information. What are you afraid of, Alex?

BTW I understand it's not misleading, but posting that on your own site? It just will tell people something, you know. If it was some other site, I wouldn't care. But this is your site, and so is LexServ.Net. Why hide it... :)

Brenden

Gee, whiz. I left my information there (registrar's database) simply so curious people like you can see that I am who I say I am and do business with me, but not to post it in a public forum. I mean, c'mon, who are you kidding -- would you like your information (address, phone, etc.) unnecessarily displayed here? I don't think so, pal.

Like I said before, I wasn't hiding the fact that I own Lexserv.net I never denied it either. And, with all due respect, this is my website and I can naturally do whatever I want with it.

Well, Alex can put his little botton below "Lexserv" on this site even tho Lexserv belongs to him...SO? I would do the same thing if I run my own hosting and put on my other site -- I don't see anything wrong with that. I believe Alex is partnered with HOSTING company "RESELLER" but I might be wrong, he could run his own server/hosting which server is expensive to own one. So, can't he make his own website "Lexserv" to sell his HOSTING services to customers? I am not going to say any more further information how it works, etc. Sorry I can't share secrets -- Alex will have to tell himself about this stuff. :o

Hi Heather,

Thanks for understanding. One thing, though, I'm renting a dedicated server and don't hold a reseller account. And, yes, renting out a server is costly. ;)

Good day.
