Hey guys!
I am new here and I was just looking for people in my area (of 3 towns) who is also HoH or deaf!!! I am HoH but communicate verbally. I know sign and love to use it but have no one to use it with! I am from Mississippi.
 
Welcome! Excited that you know ASL.....have you looked into Mississippi School for the Deaf? I thought it wasn't exactly an awesome school, but does have the same advantages that most Deaf Schools have.......not to mention that public education in Mississippi can suck overall. There's also the possibilty of attending summer camps either at MSD or around the US (like at Gally)
And believe you me, we do have at least three or four mainstreamed HOH high schoolers knocking around here........and a lot of us 'old fogies" have been there and done that with public education...
