Home video shows Enumclaw tornado forming | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local & Regional
BUCKLEY, Wash. -- It might have just looked like smoke, but instead, it was a raging tornado.
13-year-old Brayden Milliner of Buckley noticed the sky was looking a little weird Sunday afternoon, so he grabbed his digital camera and started filming. Little did he know he was about to capture a rare Washington tornado on film.
He says it was tough to tell exactly what it was -- it actually looked like smoke more than anything else -- and he didn't know what he had until he saw the news reports of the tornado.
You can see the rotation in the sky gradually tighten a bit and then a cone appearing to form from the bottom.

The tornado touched down just after 4:10 p.m. near Buckley and rolled for just over 9 1/2 miles, uprooting trees and destroying a century old barn and silo, before moving on to damage a nursery in Enumclaw.
National Weather Service meteorologists said the twister packed 110 mph gave the storm an EF1 rating -- fairly low on the 5-point Enhanced Fujita Scale.
No one was injured.
That event is very rare here in WA state.
