Do you still have your tonsils or are they removed by surgery?

I still have mine, and they are annoying! :mad2: My brother is lucky to have his removed during his early teen years. :ugh:
 
I had my tonsils out when I was 5 years old. I had to go twice. The 1st time I went, I had an allergic reaction to the Anestesia and my heart stopped. As you can tell, they got it going again. The 2nd time, they used Ether to put me to sleep.

I still have them... Heard that they helps prevent your body from recieving something so dirty or some little pollutions?

When you get sore throats or strep throat, they are working to kill the viruses?

When I get sore throat or strep throat, my tonsils swell and it's annoying! I hate them! And the sore throat stays with me longer than my brother. :slap: my bro.
 
I have mine removed when I was 14 yrs old. If you gonna get it remove it will be sore but you sure will get a lot of ice cream. Damn sure made me ignore the sores.
 
Hey Cheleler, I got it removed on last january. I'm doing great than before!! You should get it remove and you will feel great than before. Trust me i know.
 
I havent had mine taken out... I often wonder what are Tonsils are important ? if not.. why should we have them? :dunno:

Well, I suggest u to see your doctor. I found out that I got tonsilitis. it's better to take out if you have tonsilitis. When i got it and i was weaker. I always got sick like every month. I knew there was something wrong with me. i went to doctor and i got it removed. It just happened to me. lucky for babies bec they don't undy what's the pain about. :mad2:
 
My tonsils and adnoids were removed when just before my 4th or 5th birthday, I can't remember which.
 
no I haven't removed my tonsils out but wud had if I stayed in illinois cuz I was allergic to something I don't know but here in california I'm doin great.. but my sis had hers removed so due to tooo many strep thoart ugh. oh well
