Rob Walker is an artist who specializes in portraits of animals. His story is inspirational.

Deaf since birth, Walker learned to communicate with his family through art. His pictures would communicate his feelings, his dreams, and his plans as he was growing up.

He would also find that drawing and painting animals was his forte. He would start with horses because of his work with training horses and eventing as well as dressage. But, animals of all kinds were his specialty.

He went to Washington D.C. to study at an institute for the deaf. He has returned to Little Rock and his works have ben put on display at Vieux Carre Restaurant in the HilLcrest. After being told of Joey the Garden Cat, Rob just had to be introduced. After just a short period of time, Rob agreed to become Joey's artist.

Soon, Rob will go to work in his studio, painting the official portrait of Joey. We will be notified when it's done, and we'll feature the unveiling on Today's THV. Rob says that the assignment will be easy. Joey has a lot of personality and is very colorful, something we, at Today's THV have known for a long time. Rob will try to portray that on canvas and judging by his other works, this should be amazing.
