I keep getting tinnitus lately, its been going on every day for 3 days now, it only happens late evening, how weird.


What tinnitus do you all get if you get it?
 
I have tinnitus 24/7, worse without my hearing aids and especially at night when Im trying to sleep. Mine sounds like a million crickets together... constant chirp/ringing
 
Lately I've had tinnitus that made it hard for me to tell the tinnitus from the alarm on my body vacuum which drained fluids from my wound in my chest. It never lasted very long and now I don't have to use my body vacuum because my wound is almost healed. :)
 
I get tinnitus when there's no sound going into my ear (when I have hearing aid off or if it's really quiet around me). really annoying but eh, what can I do?
 
I usually get tinnitus at night time when i'v removed my ci/ha and iv been getting it quite frequently in the last few days. I also have tinnitus when I'm at the swimming baths in the water and I get it during my hearing tests and i get confused to which is tinnitus and which is actual sound

Yeah mine comes raging when I do a hearing test! lol I think its stress that does it before the hearing test. The beeps are hard to hear when all you hear is loud noise.
 
my audi uses a diff tone so that i can do my hearing tests as i have very bad tinnitus as well

Hearing tests make me nuts. Beeeeeeeeep. Beeeeeeeeeeep. I think it makes the tinnitus worse. And STRESS will really set it off. Supposedly, an ENT is going to do something about it. I got a weird test last Wednesday--ABR. Audie couldn't seem to tell me anything about it. I read about the test and that's how I know about it. Will get the results back on Tue. What for? Beats me.:laugh2::giggle:

That does happen to me too. I hated going for hearing tests. Had 4 on friday Sigh!
Funny enough you had to wait for the results of your ABR, I got mine just few secs after my test which lead to my cochlear implant candaicy! I even was a guinea pig at my Cochlear implant centre to test out ABR with CI on and read my results on the computer with the Audi explaining how it worked, compared with my pre CI results very interesting. It tells how your brain recieves the sounds via nerves. Pre CI my responses were "poor" post CI it was "alive and kicking" in audi's words!!!!
 
ahh tinnitus and hearing tests... my tinnitus varies in sound, so I always get confused with the beeps and tones being played for the test. argh!
 
mine is 24/7. very high pitched squeal. No clue how to get rid of it.

OOh you probably had one but didn't remember it OR it wasn't available when you had your assessments for CI. Its like a long thin tube into your ear drums and 4 electrodes put on your fore head, you would have to sit quietly/asleep for it, babies and kids are mostly have to be sedated. it measures the activity of your brain/ear nerves.

ABR = Auditory Brainstem Response
 
ABR felt really weird

Yeah, ABR DID feel like they rammed tubes way down in my ears. Made my whole head vibrate. BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT (loud vibrations). Funny thing was, I got some relief from the tinnitus I have at times. Afterwards, I was sick to my stomach and dizzy. It went away later the same day.:eek3:
