This past Sunday I had tinnitus all day in my right(Never had an attack that long before usually 2-3 ours then it would go away). Also this was the loudest I have ever had in my life(not a little dial tone but the whole ear sounded like the pacific ocean in stereo). I am going to see my ENT about this tomorrow, but what really scared me is ever since Sunday everything in that ear has be slightly quieter even with my HA's on.
 
Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Tinnitus is a horrible demon. I spent 10 years with this devil 24/7 every day, Sounds like the Tinnitus is indicating progressive hearing loss on your part. Hope your visit with the ENT goes well and they find out the root of the problem!..
 
Ent Visit

Saw my Ent today and had my hearing tested(She said to contact her if this happens again also lost five decibels but in the left ear).
 
I am sorry to hear that. My hubby still has bad tinnius since he was a toddler for 24/7. Even He has a CI and still got a tinnius anyway. He did tell me how he feels about it. Poor him that he has to hear it everyday even he goes to bed. =( Hope your tinnitus is slowing down.
 
i read that pine bark extract may help with tinnitus.

“These results suggest that in selected patients with tinnitus and altered perfusion, Pycnogenol is effective in a short period of time in relieving tinnitus symptoms by improving cochlear blood flow,” wrote the researchers.

“The effect is more pronounced with higher Pycnogenol dosage. More studies should be planned to better evaluate the pathology and potential applications of Pycnogenol in a larger number of patients who are currently without a real therapeutic solution,” they concluded.
