This May Be An Old Story But It is Still Interesting

I doubt that health insurances will even cover it. The thing is, we do not need better hearing aids/implants...........we need more affordable ones!
 

All that is is basically a middle ear implant. Those are readily available for people with moderate to slightly severe SNHL (Middle-Ear Implants: 2012).

It does NOTHING to correct a damaged cochlea.
People with conductive hearing loss could get some benefit from this and people with moderate to severe SNHL could also get benefit but it is by no means an innovation or new or a breakthrough.

Yes exactly..............May not even be approved by the FDA since there's already a lot of MEIs in the system.
