This is a clever way to keep a sqirrel from eating bird seeds

I don't mind at all that the squirrels get into our feeders. There's still plenty left for the birds. They all share. And the squirrels knock so much of it to the ground that the birds eat from there too. Seems happy all around.

It's illegal to shot wild animals will BB guns in my city . Someone doing that to ducks and the ACO and polices where trying to find the person or people.
Killing animals for fun is wrong if you're plan on eating the squirrel that is a difference thing.

The chipmunks eat the birdseeds that fall to ground at my neighbor bird feeder.

Depends on if you are killing it or scaring it. Most of the time its scaring it off, Killing it, Time to eat !!!!
Also Ducks and few other animals fall under hunting regulations why that's illegal...

The ducks where in a frog pond and a lot people where bringing their kids there to see and feed the ducks . It was mostly likely kids killing the ducks for fun b/c they'll leaving the dead birds there. No guns are allowed be shot close to a resident area . This was a safety issue too which was why the cops got involved .

Guns and bb guns are 2 different categories.

I said a lot parents where bring their kids to the pond to see and feed the ducks the cops did not want any kids getting hit with BB pellet. The pond is near the state court house too and people from out of town park near the pond , the city could not have some punks with BB guns shooting at ducks.
 
Maybe the judge can tell those kids to go wading in that pond this coming Saturday and I'll be there with my trusty Daisy.....see how they like that! :lol:

This awhile ago , people are not allowed to feed the birds any more and there signs up saying the water is may pose a risk to human and pets but people still let their kids and dogs play in the water . A snapped turtle might bite a kid finger one day thinking it food.
