Can't remember where I read this exactly online but it was very interesting about language. Basically one can express language in any form for language is in the brain and the mouth (or hands or pen) are just tools to express that language so whether one signs or speaks or writes, language and thoughts and concepts are still the same for it originates from the mind and thus is abstract.
