The worlds first eyeborg...

Whoa that's cool technology but damn that's a real eyesore seeing that metal tube poking out. I hear it doubles as a clothesline in a hurry.

Dunno but he did rip it out, from some pics I came across but it's now back in...
Just think when they move that thing downstairs.....

Colour blind artist becomes world's first 'eyeborg' by having antenna implanted inside his skull to 'hear' colours | Mail Online

So now we can have antennas implanted, the color blind anyway......
As a radical lover of liberty fair enough but I know the frankienstiens won't stop with this
Really
I'm finding this getting creepier and creepier

I agree with you. It is weird and creepier to have that inside the brain like the Cochlear Implant. Dang! Another surgery again. We are not robot or Frankenstein monster like that. Oh, I hope not in the future. Gawd. :(

The sort of colour blind he has is considered blind...there place in north Sweden with group of people with this genetic problem and looking at his name it maybe he got links with that part of the world

It would made it hard to drive if you can only see in black and white. You would not know what color the traffic is.

It's not that much harder...
Color blind folk drive all the time.
For street lights it's just knowing the position of the lights and not the color, you just really have to pay attention
Into color blind, but I've known a guy who was.

Some time it hard to tell which color the traffic light is when the sun is shining right on it. I this to be the case with the new traffic lights , the older where better to me. People did not like it when my city had the 'new and improved' traffic lights installed. Ne does not always mean better. '
I would if one day people that are blind or lost their eye sight while be able to have something like that guy has but not noticeable .

The position of the lights matter not so much the colours right. I you can't tell red from yellow from green you will know theirs position
Seems to work

Hmmm, wondering if you were Deaf AND Blind, and you were given only one implant, which would you pick? Ain't it sucks to decide?

I heard Helen Keller said she would rather been blind than deaf, I am not sure if this is true or not. I think I would have my eyes fixed if I went blind . I use my eyes a lot more than my ears at times. What would you do ?

Well which kind of blindness or deafness
Are we chatting about being tone deaf with music or color blind, like can't see yellow or blue
Or total blindness and profound Deafness?
Certainly in my opinion total blindness is a harsh fate as opposed to being DEAF.
But that's only my opinion
For what it's worth

I just throw in question because, for some reason I started my curiousity what it was like to be hearing just few years ago!. I was asking as if one's born Blind and Deaf, what are their chances of choosing which sense, and why? I know it is going to be impossible for me to find out why cause I will never understand the sounds, but already has the knowledge of visual.

Yes, that is what I heard too. Makes me wondering why sounds are better than visual. What's so exciting about sounds?

I find this interesting I always thought visual would be more wanted all things considered, never knew that about Keller.
Who was that girl who chopped her parents up with an axe? I always get them confused...I don't know why

Blindness cuts people off from things; deafness cuts people off from people.

Took me long time to realize this is true. This is why some people may pick blind over deaf if they had a choice.
