Attention: I didn't not write that blog that I came across today so don't try to beat me up eh.. :D I am just bringing it to your attention and curious about your reaction to this blog entry written by "logican" from this person's blog at:
logicandlanguage.net: The Politics of ASL which this person write in regard to the article from The Chronicle of Higher Education's "The Chronicle Review", titled "Deafness and the Riddle of Identity" at: The Chronicle: 1/12/2007: Deafness and the Riddle of Identity

Very interesting and many valid points brought up.

This issue over being "deaf enough" has always been asinine to me. I think of the recent Gallaudet episode (farce) proved that point wholeheartily.

You just cannot define "deafness" by some form of language or further by "culture". There are too many degrees of "deafness" and too many variations in how those with such hearing losses communicate.

"The Chronicle Review", titled "Deafness and the Riddle of Identity"

should read

"The Brute Review", titled "Deafness and the Ridor of Identity"

Hahahahahaha!

ahh typo.. thanks :D It should say either "I did not" or "I didn't" as I recall I was editing the post before submitting and looks like I forgot to correct that one.
