The new Phonak Naida Q, I really want it!

poooop, my Naida S UP's aren't even a year old yet.

That's what I'm thinking. My Naida S is a year and 3 months old. Think it's gonna be like phones, only for a short time, will you have the most up to date. I'm sticking with my Naida S tho for a good while longer, I want at least 5 years out of them :)

What makes this aid better than the UP?

Nothing to do with the UP as the new Naida Q is in the UP as well. UP is just to do with the amount of power.

It has better technology inside and better features. You need to compare the different yourself.

Your audiooligist who dispenses the HA's for you is gonna love ya.... If you got the means -- go for it . LOL :D

I'm not even going to look. My pre-Spice Naidas are 2-1/2 years old. No need to torture myself. :D

Anytime technology is new one is better off waiting until that technology has been tried and tested in the real world. Many times, it takes a while to get that technology to work right and that can only come with experience.

I'd hold off for about a year on this.

Have you only just got your Naida tho? I would hold off for longer then a year.

I got my Naida S only about 4 months after they came out and I've never had any bugs with my Naida S. I know there were loads of bugs with the Pre spice Naidas.

I would imagine my audi will get me this for my upgrade for my left since the SP sucksss

Be curious to know the water resistant rating for the new Naida, as the volume control has changed on the new one so might be a better rating?!

It won't be as good as the Phonak H2Os tho :(

I'm not a fan about RIC hearing aids. Maybe because I like that I can make hearing people cringe by putting my hand over my ear to cause feedback.
And I'm probably just making myself not like the newer hearing aids because for me, a cochlear implant is probably the best choice (for me). (Yes, I said "for me" twice but some people will still say that I am pro CI for everybody)

I don't think they're only coming out with RIC's. I'm pretty sure I saw that they're coming out with BTE SPs and UPs

The feed back you get from covering a digital aid is waaaay different than with an analog, I had more fun doing that with my analogs. One thing that I thought was cool about my analog that the digitals don't do is interference with electrical stuff. When I had them if I put my head by an outlet they'd hum, and some store alarms, for shoplifting, would make them hum. I remember when I used to go in the door at Walmart they'd start up, one night I went in and it didn't do it. I told the greeter that they're alarm wasn't working, he says "yes it ma'am"...uh no, no it's not. Then I was leaving the guy was checking everybody's cart and reciepts....yeah sure it's working. Yeah totally off topic, I get sidetracked...oh look a squirrel.

If you look, it's RIC, SP and UP.

I found my analogs interfered with store alarms. Thought it was rather funny. They also used to turn my has off when I left a store.

Went to pick up my new ear molds last night & asked my Audi about the Q. She was surprised I knew about them since their not "out" yet. :)
She thinks they'll come out here in the states in April which is when the annual audiologist convention occurs.
