The great outdoors

any luck to catch a fish? nice view to fishing..
Not this time, but next time we are going to a few lakes that are stocked.
He doesn't like the bobber or sinker fishing... He gets bored. He loves to use spinner bait/lures so He will be angling to catch Bass when we go.
When I sat him up for bobber is when he got the hits but not paying attention he didn't hook them. Same with sinkers and the bell. he told me I don't know how to fish right and said you cast it and reel it in , then cast it and reel it in....LMAO getting owned ! So he has spinner baits he picked out himself and only used once so next time we will be going all out for the big fish. Bass and Cats... normally catch and release unless its a monster I will mount it for him.

Somehow I thought you would be cleaning it and eating it.

I believe there are laws that require you to release the fish you catch if they're under a certain size.

But he was talking about unless a monster, if so, then mounting it. I didn't extend the bold in the quote quite far enough. I wasn't thinking of under size.

Why wouldn't he mount a "monster". Show off that they caught one that size. Maybe he does clean and eat the ones in between the catch & release and monster and just didn't bother stating the obvious.

If camping we may so I don't have to pack a lot of food, but as a sport its catch and release, For Scout outings its catch and release as well ( the barbs are removed from the hooks to make it simple and painless to remove the hook from the fish easily for the little guys as well as not to injure the fish)

Your son is growing...fingers crossed he catches the big one!...Took my grandson fishing once. Got him a kiddie rod & reel...on the first cast, he threw it all into the water...LOL...

Yeah, little ones need to learn coordination, My son actually hit me with a spinner bait but luckily he didn't hook me.

We Just set up the used tent to make sure everything was there and worked. Got it all rolled and packed back in the bag as well ( that's a job in itself ! )
